Photographing 11 day old Ayra in my cosy Tawa studio was an absolute dream. Ayra’s Mum selected pink as the colour for her Newborn Art Mini session, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The soft shades of pink brought out Ayra’s sweet features and created a timeless look that I know her family will treasure for years to come.
Ayra was a little superstar from the moment she arrived. Relaxed and content, she made the session smooth and enjoyable. We captured a lovely mix of swaddled poses, showcasing her peaceful expression, and the soft, cosy vibes of the session highlighted just how tiny and precious newborns are at this stage.
My Tawa studio, just a quick 10-minute drive from Wellington city, is designed with newborns and their families in mind. It’s a warm and inviting space where parents can sit back and relax while I work my magic. With everything needed for a seamless session – from props to backdrops to a calming atmosphere – I aim to make the experience as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.
The controlled lighting in the studio allows me to create those soft, dreamy portraits that are a hallmark of my style. And because I’ve tailored the space to suit newborn sessions, there’s no need to worry about unpredictable weather or lighting conditions – all you need to do is arrive, and I’ll take care of the rest!
