Jairah's Newborn Portrait Session
Gorgeous Jairah and his mum visited my Tawa Portrait Studio in July.
At 17 days fresh, Jairah was slightly older than my ideal newborn age of 7-14 days. The older bubba, the harder it can be to convince them to sleep and let me pose them all curled up and au naturale. But you know what? There's always something we can do so never fear - I will work with baby on their terms and awake or asleep, the photos will be beautiful! And so with Jairah the trick was to wrap him up and he was absolutely content. We got some beautiful shots of him snug as a bug in some very cute props on a light wood and then a dark wood setup, and a final adorable shot of him checking out the studio when we unwrapped him on the bean bag and his eyes popped open immediately :D
I love deep warm earthy tones for boys, and Jairah with the most amazing lashes suited it so well!
