STEP 2: BOOKING CONFIRMATION

When your reservation payment is received and the T&Cs agreed to, your session is confirmed and will be entered into Angela's calendar. You’ll be provided with everything you need to know to prepare for your session.

STEP 3: PLANNING YOUR SESSION

You'll be sent a questionnaire to complete to help Angela prepare and style your session.

 STEP 4: THE SESSION

Angela's goal is to make your session a fun, stress-free experience... simply relax and enjoy the moment! You don’t need to worry about how to pose, she will gently guide you so you will look your best!

STEP 5: DELIVERY

Angela will edit and deliver your images via a private online gallery. Standard turnaround time is two weeks after your session. 

Maternity FAQs

When should I book my maternity session?

The best time to schedule your maternity session is between 30 and 35 weeks. At this stage, your baby bump is beautifully round, and you're likely to feel comfortable enough to enjoy the session. Booking during this window ensures we capture this special time before the final weeks, when you might feel more fatigued.​

I recommend reaching out early to secure your spot on my calendar, as availability can fill up quickly. By planning ahead, we can ensure a relaxed and enjoyable experience that beautifully documents your journey into motherhood.

Do you come to our home to take photos?

All indoor sessions take place in my Tawa studio, where everything is set up and ready to go—no need to tidy your home or worry about lighting! My studio provides a comfortable, controlled environment with everything we need to create beautiful images for you.

If you’d prefer an outdoor session, I have a selection of handpicked locations around Wellington that offer natural beauty to choose from. Outdoor sessions are less about posing and more about capturing relaxed, candid moments as they naturally unfold.

What’s the difference between the packages?

Mini Session – A short and sweet option, perfect if you’re after just a handful of beautiful maternity photos. This is the most budget-friendly package and includes 5 images of your choice. With limited time, we keep things simple and classic—focusing on a few timeless poses that beautifully celebrate your bump. It’s ideal for Mamas who want something quick, easy, and still absolutely gorgeous!

Standard Session – The perfect balance of variety and value! With more time to relax and settle in, this session allows for a broader range of poses and looks than the Mini. You'll select your favourite 15 images from a beautifully curated gallery of the best shots. It’s a great choice if you want more variety and more ways to celebrate this special time, without committing to the full Complete collection.

Complete Session – No need to choose your favourites—you’ll receive all the very best images from your session. With extra time and flexibility, we’ll explore a wider range of wardrobe options and different looks, creating a beautifully styled and polished collection of maternity portraits. If you want to capture every beautiful moment without leaving anything behind, this one’s for you!

How many images are included in the Complete Package?

It really depends on the type of session and who’s being photographed! I typically aim for at least 30 beautiful images (around double the Standard package), but your final gallery can be quite a bit bigger—especially for outdoor sessions where we capture lots of natural, candid moments with family. Studio sessions are a little more posed and deliberate, so the gallery size reflects that. Either way, you’ll receive all the very best images from our time together—nothing special gets left behind!

When will I receive my photos?

I'm just as excited for you to see your photos as you are! Once your final payment is settled, I'll carefully select and edit your images to perfection. You can expect your beautiful online gallery to be ready and delivered to your inbox within two weeks. As soon as it's ready, I'll send you a link so you can relive those special moments and download your favorites at your convenience.

Can I purchase additional images?

Yes, absolutely! For both the Mini and Standard Sessions, you'll receive a curated gallery showcasing the best moments from your shoot. From there, you can select your included images—5 images for the Mini Package or 15 images for the Standard Package—and have the option to purchase additional favorites at $60 per image.​ If you've chosen the Complete Package, there's no need to decide—you'll receive the full collection of the best images from your session, with no extra charge!

Do I get digital files, prints or both?

You’ll get high-resolution digital files with your package—perfect for printing, sharing, or keeping safe for years to come. I’m also thrilled to offer beautiful, ready-to-hang canvases if you’d like to turn your favourite images into stunning wall art. And if you’d prefer to print your own, I can share a discount code for my favourite local print shop to help you create lovely prints, cards, calendars and more!
