When should I book my maternity session?

The best time to schedule your maternity session is between 30 and 35 weeks. At this stage, your baby bump is beautifully round, and you're likely to feel comfortable enough to enjoy the session. Booking during this window ensures we capture this special time before the final weeks, when you might feel more fatigued.​

I recommend reaching out early to secure your spot on my calendar, as availability can fill up quickly. By planning ahead, we can ensure a relaxed and enjoyable experience that beautifully documents your journey into motherhood.

Do you come to our home to take photos?

All indoor sessions take place in my Tawa studio, where everything is set up and ready to go—no need to tidy your home or worry about lighting! My studio provides a comfortable, controlled environment with everything we need to create beautiful images for you.

If you’d prefer an outdoor session, I have a selection of handpicked locations around Wellington that offer natural beauty to choose from.

Can we include our pet?

Yes, absolutely! Pets are part of the family too. Pets are more than welcome at outdoor sessions—I love capturing those special bonds with your furry family members. Just let me know ahead of time so I can choose a location that’s pet-friendly and safe for everyone.

We've booked an outdoor session - what do we do if the weather is awful?

If the weather turns wet or wild, don’t worry—we have options! I always keep backup days reserved in case we need to reschedule. Alternatively, if you'd prefer not to wait, we can move your session into my warm and cosy Tawa studio instead. I’ll be in touch the day before or morning of your session if the weather’s looking iffy, and we’ll make a plan together from there.

When will I receive my photos?

I'm just as excited for you to see your photos as you are! Once your final payment is settled, I'll carefully select and edit your images to perfection. You can expect your beautiful online gallery to be ready and delivered to your inbox within two weeks. As soon as it's ready, I'll send you a link so you can relive those special moments and download your favorites at your convenience.

What if I want prints or wall art?

You’ll get high-resolution digital files with your package—perfect for printing, sharing, or keeping safe for years to come. I’m also thrilled to offer beautiful, ready-to-hang canvases if you’d like to turn your favourite images into stunning wall art. And if you’d prefer to print your own, I can share a discount code for my favourite local print shop to help you create lovely prints, cards, calendars and more!
